Mary, whom the crossdressing community fondly refer to as their "Den Mother" started Masquerade, as a support group for the crossdressing community in Winnipeg.

Mary is very active within Masquerade and was honored at their 10th Anniversary Party in February 2007 with a plaque for 10 years of support, fun, friendship & great service.
